Sassy Tip: Ubers and other vehicles are not permitted to enter Sai Kung Country Park, so we recommend taking a standard Hong Kong taxi to avoid any issues. When at Sai Wan Pavilion, you will then need to do a short hike (roughly 40 minutes) to get to the beaches of Tai Long Wan.
How hike Long Ke Wan?
From the end of High Island Reservoir:
- Take a green taxi from Sai Kung to the end of High Island Reservoir East Dam (30 minutes).
- At High Island Reservoir East Dam look for a sign that points to Long Ke Wan.
- Follow the trail as it will directly lead you to Long Ke Wan.
Can you drive to Long Ke Wan?
If you are in a green taxi already you can keep driving right to the East Dam where the trail to Long Ke Wan starts, other wise get a green taxi at the taxi stand and do the same. There are other options for public transportation by taking MTR and buses.
How do you get to Sai Wan?
Once in Sai Kung Town, you can take a speedboat directly to either Sai Wan or Ham Tin beach or take a taxi to Sai Wan Pavilion. From the pavilion, there is a short hike of about 40 minutes to reach Sai Wan beach and a further 30-minute walk to reach Ham Tin beach.

Walk pass the stores and reach a longer beach of Sai Wan where you should see a stone bridge at the end of it. The opening to Sheung Luk stream was hidden in shrubs next the stone bridge BEFORE crossing the bridge. Walk along the stream for about 15 mins you will then reach the Sheung Luk Stream.
