Why is Carbone so popular in New York?
To top it all off they served limoncella and grappa which was a nice way to round out the feast! There is a reason why this place is a NYC favorite. Even the appetizer is phenomenal — cannot get enough of the Mozzarella! Spicy rigatoni is probably the most chewy and tasteful pasta I have ever had.
Is the Carbone at Carbone worth the space?
Yes it was unique and tasty but it was HUGE (like in a lasagna dish), greasy, cheesy and overwhelming if you had 2 apps and 2 entrees like we did. Totally unnecessary and not worth the “space” in your stomach.
How much is a Porterhouse steak at Carbone?
For entrees we had the Linguine vongole again and the Porterhouse. 3 weeks ago they had the T-Bone on the menu for $50, now the Porterhouse for 2.5 times that price. Waiter raved about it but there wasn’t much flavor and we asked for Medium Rare and received Medium well. If you want steak, go to a steakhouse.
