  1. on the bottom windows search type “allow an app through windows firewall”,
  2. If plex isn’t there you have to add it – (which was in my case)
  3. Click change settings and click allow another app.
  4. Browse and find Plex (should be under Program Files)
  5. Add “Plex Media Server.exe”
